Yoluc Replaces Injured Farano At Tower Motorsport For 6 Hours At The Glen

2023 Asian Le Mans Series Champion, overall ELMS race winner and reigning ELMS LMP2 Pro-Am Champion Salih Yoluc is to replace John Farano in the Tower Motorsports Oreca 07 for this weekend’s Sahlens 6 Hours of the Glen.

The switch comes as Farano continues his recovery after a sizeable incident at last Month’s IMSA race at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca. The same injury saw the Canadian businessman step down from the Le Mans 24 Hours in the entry earned by him via IMSA success last season.

Yoluc will drive alongside Will Stevens and Kyffin Simpson in the #8 Tower Motorsports LMP2 Oreca.

“I’m looking forward to working with Will and Kyffin, and I am fully focused on giving it my all to help this team achieve the best results possible,” said Salih Yoluc. “I’d like to thank John for thinking of me, he has put together a phenomenal crew and a highly competitive program, and I have full confidence that I can add a positive contribution to this team’s impressive history. I am sending him well wishes, and I will do my very best to maintain and add to the success and progress the team has made so far this season.”

“I have been following Salih’s progress and successes over the last couple of years and his accomplishments speak for themselves. All of us at Tower Motorsports are very excited to have Salih join us for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen and I could not think of anyone more perfect to step in as my replacement for this event”, added Farano. ”Knowing that Salih has worked with Will Stevens in the past, and became familiar with Kyffin Simpson this year in ALMS and ELMS, he will no doubt fit right in and make an immediate impact. I look forward to returning track side with our team at the Glen in a support role and very much looking forward to seeing all of my fellow competitors again albeit, from the sidelines.”

The green flag of the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen will drop at 10:40 AM ET on Sunday, June 25, and the race will conclude at 4:40 PM ET.
